Weight loss plans!

My story is like many others - I started putting a bit of weight on gradually, so gradually you hardly notice it sneaking on - then one day you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror or see a photograph of yourself and don't recognise the person you are looking at.

Well I've hit that stage and I don't like it. So I'm going to change it.

I'm not hugely massively morbidly obese. I can still fit in air line seats and buy clothes from high street shops (though often the biggest sizes in those shops) but I'm certainly not comfortable with my current size. I'm around 40lbs heavier than the recommended weight for my height.

I'm starting today, and I'll be updating my progress, my inspiration, my methods and anything else I think might be relevant of of use to myself or anyone else here in the hope that putting it all out there will help keep me on track!
