2016 Travel Wishlist

Everyone seems to be talkingavut travelling these days - or maybe it just seems that way because I'm currently doing some major Wanderlusting! Though I've quite recently come back from holiday, I think that just made me more hungry for more!

There's so much of the world I'd like to see and a full list of the places I'd like to travel to would make for an incredibly long post, here's a couple that have been playing on my mind a lot recently!

Las Vegas

Until a few weeks ago I'd barely considered Vegas for an upcoming holiday destination but it seems to have smuggled it's way into my thoughts and isn't going anywhere now! I'm not really a gambler but I think it'd be fascinating to watch the high rollers win and lose fortunes - who needs the fancy shows with people-watching options like that! It's such an iconic city that I'm sure I'd get a little giddy spotting sites from so many films, plus it's easy enough to do a day trip to the Grand Canyon which would definitely be on my list! Las Vegas seems like the ultimate party town, loud and bright and larger than life, and I can imagine it being an amazing experience - very different from my quiet English life!

Venice

I'm not sure if this found a way onto my list because I've been looking at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas, or just becasue it looks like the most amazing, beautiful city in it's own right! I imagine sunny days strolling by the canals, gelatto in hand. I imagine romantic evening gondola rides and pizza in St Marks Square. I imagine losing myself, literally and metaphorically, in the historic streets of Venice - bliss!

Iceland

A few people I know have visited Iceland recently and it looks like the most amazing country! I'd love to go in winter to see the Northern Lights, relax as the Blue Lagoon and visit the amazing geographical features like the volcanos, geysirs and waterfalls they seem to have in abundance - though out of the three this is the one where I'd be least excited about trying the local food!

Have you been to any of these places - can you help me decide on which one goes at the top of my list? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
